The 1st Creative Labor Awards of the Military Trade Union attracted 208 participating projects, comprising 56 research topics and 152 initiatives by 775 authors from 11 units directly under the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense that have trade union organizations. Following a rigorous appraisal and evaluation process, the Award Council selected 99 outstanding projects to receive certificates from the Director of the General Department of Politics, including 2 First-Place, 15 Second-Place, 45 Third-Place, and 37 Consolation Awards.

Among them, Viettel High Tech's second-place winning project, titled "Research and Manufacturing of the Tank Training Simulation System," was executed by the Modeling & Simulation Center. Comrade Cao Xuan Sang, Deputy Director of the Smart Battlefield Management Center, served as the project manager. Key members of the research team included Comrade Nguyen Duc Thanh, Head of the Mixed Augmented Virtual Reality Research Department, and Comrade Nguyen Thanh Nhon, Hardware Design Engineer from the Hardware Engineering Technology Research Department. Viettel High Tech's project was developed to promptly meet the training demands of the Armored Forces, significantly reducing fuel and ammunition costs, as well as equipment depreciation, compared to training entirely on actual vehicles.

During the implementation process, the research team gradually mastered core technologies, including real-time tank motion modeling, ballistic trajectory calculation, and the 6 degrees of freedom (6 DOF) motion simulation system. To date, this simulation system has been equipped and deployed at 13 military academies and various units across the Army, providing vital support for training in environments closely resembling actual combat. Costing only about 60% of equivalent imported systems, the product has saved hundreds of billions of VND for the national defense budget. Notably, the foundational technologies derived from this project are being inherited and developed for application in other Viettel High Tech military simulation systems, such as the Viettel Flight Simulator, the Car Driving Training Simulation System (VDS), and naval ship simulators.

Earning second place at the 1st Creative Labor Awards of the Military Trade Union is a well-deserved recognition of the efforts and determination of the officers and engineers at the Modeling & Simulation Center in particular, and Viettel High Tech in general, on their journey to master modern technology, effectively serving the training and combat readiness missions of the Military.
