Heartwarming series of "Gratitude" activities by VHT on July 27
In celebration of the 77th anniversary of the Day of War Invalids and Martyrs (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2024), VHT has continuously implemented social activities as part of the "Gratitude" series, including gift-giving, visiting families of those who contributed to the revolution, Heroic Vietnamese Mothers, tending to cemeteries, and providing free medical examinations and medication to policy beneficiaries in Thach That district, Hanoi.
On the morning of July 20, VHT, in collaboration with Thach That District General Hospital, successfully organized a medical examination and free medication distribution event for 74 policy beneficiaries in Lai Thuong commune, Thach That district, Hanoi. The 74 sets of medication were selected by VHT based on consultations with doctors from Thach That District Hospital, and were directly purchased and donated to policy families with the participation of three mass organizations and 11 VHT employees.
On the same day, VHT, with the participation of personnel from the Administration Department, 15 Youth Union members, and three mass organizations, replaced broken flower vases, refreshed the flowers at the martyrs' graves, and tidied up the tombstones.
On the afternoon, VHT also organized a visit and a ceremonial incense offering to pay tribute at the An Toàn Khu Historic Site in Định Hoá, Thái Nguyên, and the Tân Trào Historical Site in Tuyên Quang.
On the morning of July 23rd, a delegation led by Comrade Phan Thanh Long visited and presented gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mother Nguyễn Thị Tàu. Born in 1926, she is the only Vietnamese Heroic Mother in the Thạch Thất district. Comrade Phan Thanh Long also expressed deep gratitude towards the Vietnamese Heroic Mother, wishing her good health and longevity, and emphasizing her role as a source of inspiration for her descendants to follow in learning, working, and contributing to the development of their homeland.
Although she has reached the age of 99, Mother Tàu still retains a sharp mind and lively demeanor. Throughout the conversation, she emotionally held the hand of Comrade Phan Thanh Long and repeatedly expressed her profound gratitude to VHT for their annual visits and continued care. For her, this warm gesture is immensely valuable and serves as motivation to continue educating her descendants to uphold revolutionary traditions and contribute to the development of their homeland.
Through the series of annual activities held in commemoration of War Invalids and Martyrs Day on July 27th, the core values of tradition and the soldier’s ethos of Viettel are vividly reflected. It is evident that not only do the employees of VHT dedicate themselves fully to work and production, but they also deeply acknowledge their responsibilities to society and the nation, striving to spread positive values within the community.
