General introduction

V-FAC is a high-performance acceleration card designed to enhance user-plane data processing capability in the 5G Core (UPF). The solution offloads the entire user-plane data processing flow to programmable FPGA-based acceleration cards, significantly increasing processing throughput, reducing latency and optimizing system resource usage. V-FAC is designed to integrate with high-performance packet-processing software platforms and supports common programming interfaces such as the DPDK rte_flow API, enabling easy integration into existing systems without changing the overall architecture. We provide flexible cooperation models worldwide, including hardware supply, IP core licensing, service subscription models, complete solution packages and hardware/software architecture consulting to meet diverse deployment needs of partners and customers.

Feature

  • Hardware: supports PCIe Gen4/Gen3, 2 x 100G QSFP28 network ports, 4 x 16GB DDR4 memory, deployed on a programmable FPGA platform.
  • Programmability and integration: compatible with DPDK rte_flow API, supports 10,000 rules with multiple matching fields and processing actions such as encap/decap, drop, queue, RSS and others.
  • Flow Management: supports up to 8 million UEs and 128 million flows; flow insertion rate up to 500,000 flows/second; supports bidirectional flows, flow classification and aging mechanisms for flow lifecycle management.
  • Quality of Service (QoS): supports up to 128 million policies with multiple QoS mechanisms (PCC, QFI, APN); complies with RFC 2697; controls uplink, downlink and total traffic.
  • Charging: supports flow-level counters, quota monitoring, threshold alerts and charging for uplink, downlink or total traffic.
  • Deep Packet Inspection (DPI - expected Q2/2026): processing bandwidth up to ~90Gbps, supporting about 10,000 analysis rules.
